Random Pictures

The CWA of WA state office has a showroom where handmade items or items related to Western Australia are for sale. The sales benefit the group's altruistic endeavors.

This is the color of the soil. That's a rock. Hm, they look exactly like our rocks...

This is an old-style harvester. Several people have said it was used to bind hay, but I haven't worked out how it worked yet. More research ahead!

Many of the trees near the coast grow bent because of the wind.

First of several churches built by the same man in the Northampton and Geraldton region.

The wheat region. Lupins and canola are also grown in this area. Fields are odd-shaped because of the topography. Note areas of bush.

This old Catholic convent has been turned into holiday lets.

Another church build by the one man out of the area stone. Only walls are built out of it now.

Have only seen one lizard so far and that was from a car.

These are an older type of grain loading elevator.



Note the pile of dirt on the left side and in the background? They are contour banks that are created to slow water flow and prevent erosion.



The lighter area is a dry river bed in Kalbarri National Park.
